When we are working in a temporary work environment, it is important to know how to keep the jobs coming.

Here are 3 tips on how to stay in work.

  1. Target the right agency. Be sure to research the company and make sure they target your area of expertise. Talk to people within the agency, get a feel for them and if they are able to meet your needs.
  2. Adjust your resume. Companies looking to fill temporary positions tend to be more focused on your skill sets and not necessary on a play by play of your career history. Be sure to make those crucial assets shine and stick on that resume!
  3. Treat all your current and past contacts as future contacts. Don’t go into your temporary positions thinking “it is just a temporary position” because you never know when that company will have another job for you. Be sure to market yourself well and hold close, respected relationships with everyone you interact with.
